WELCOME and thank you for stopping by the “new” Lake Shore Fire District website. This website is currently under construction as we continue to build it to better serve our residents and firefighters. In our quest to serve the citizens and visitors of Greece NY, we're happy to meet you on the Web, and hope you'll visit us often.
The Lake Shore Fire District is a combination fire district made up of both volunteer and career firefighters. We respond to fires, rescues, motor vehicle accidents and EMS services to our residents of the northern part of the Town of Greece along the beautiful shores of Lake Ontario since 1957. We respond to approximately 1200 calls of service yearly in our 7 square mile area. We have three fire stations located throughout our Fire District with our headquarters station being staffed 24 hours a day. Firefighters are a special breed of people and our community is protected by dedicated and committed firefighters who do a great job when called upon, regardless of the time of day to save lives and property which is done willingly and often without recognition.
We are recruiting new volunteer members to help answer the call of duty. Anyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer member of the Lake Shore Fire Department or learning more can contact me. Please take the time to consider joining the Lake Shore Family, we provide many social activities throughout the year that involves the families of the firefighters giving back for the many hours that these firefighters dedicate to their community.
Your feedback is encouraged, so that we can respond to our residents needs as we continue to improve the quality of our services to our community.
