The Lake Shore Fire District was formed in the year 1957, which combined 4 fire departments in our local area.  With the combination of the Braddock Heights, Grand View Heights, Crescent Beach, and Lakeview fire departments, we were able to combine our resources and provide a better level of protection and mutual service to our community.  Today, on a much larger scale, we still follow the same mutual aid pacts, except on a county-wide level.  All Monroe County fire departments are there for each other in their time of need.  If another fire department had an incident they couldn't handle alone, we'd provide them the services they would need, just as they would do for us.  Our district covers the entire Lake Ontario Shoreline in the town of Greece, between Greenleaf Road and Braddocks Bay.  In width, our district primarily runs between the shoreline of Lake Ontario, and the Lake Ontario State Parkway.
