Lake Shore station 3 is located in the heart of our fire district, right at the dead center.  Station 3 is our headquarters, where we would respond for most of our training, etc.

     Station 3 houses our paid staff, consisting of 4 total paid firefighters, working 1 at a time, on a rolling "4 on / 4 off" schedule.  Also, during the day, the paid staff is supported by a paid Assistant Chief, who acts both in the command of any incidents, and the administrative tasks of the paid staff.

     Twice a month, the first two Mondays of each month, our fire commission meets to discuss the business of the fire district.  The commission is comprised of 5 elected officials.  Also in attendance is the duty assistant chief (mentioned above), the district chief, our district's attorney, the secretary and the treasurer.  Every year, a chairman to the commission is appointed, and that person acts as the facilitator of the meeting.
